Our Policies

We will do our best to work with you to find appointment times that meet your schedule. For your planning when scheduling appointments please note that our sessions generally are one and one-half hours in length. If you are late for any reason, you will receive the remainder of your scheduled time.  This is necessary so we can see following clients at their scheduled time. We understand that at times it may be necessary to cancel or reschedule an appointment. To help us be both efficient and responsible in the use of our time, we ask that any changes or cancellations be made at least 24 hours in advance.  We can only take a certain amount of clients at one time, and we schedule accordingly. Unfortunately, some people will cancel appointments without an understanding of the impact on us as a ministry.  Since it is difficult to fill a canceled appointment, please try and honor this notification policy.

Transformation Ministries is a non-profit service established under a faith-based Board of Directors to make Biblical counseling accessible to individuals, couples, and families. We seek to keep our charges as low as possible (currently $40 per hour, or $60 for a typical 1 1/2 hour session) while still sustaining the ongoing availability of these services. When you pay, please do so by cash or check. Checks should be made payable to Transformation Ministries. If you need a receipt, we will provide one upon request.

Application for Reduced Fee Consideration:
If you have financial limitations, you may request consideration for reduced fees.  Our interest is in making the services we provide reasonably affordable for those who seek help through our ministry, while sufficiently sustaining the availability of these services.  The most important contribution you can make to this objective is to communicate openly and honestly with us regarding your situation and limitations.  As with all our communication, the information that you share with us in requesting reduced fee consideration is regarded as private and confidential, and will not be shared with anyone without your direction and permission.

Your request for reduced fee consideration is evaluated on the basis of the household income available to you and your family, and the size of your family.  You may document household income in most cases by a copy of your federal tax return for the most recent tax year.  If you have other unearned non-taxable income, you would need to report such income as well.  Income records (such as pay check stubs or other payment summaries) will also serve as adequate reporting of household income.  Family size refers to the number of persons living in your household as your dependents as recognized under federal tax guidelines.  Your reported income and family size is then applied to a sliding scale to determine the reduced fee applicable to your situation.  If you should have extraordinary expenses, you may summarize those for consideration in determining the fee applicable.
